Healing

Christians believe that God is at work in his world in all sorts of ways, including healing.

This can be through medication, surgery, the skill of health professionals, or through prayer. Anointing with oil (making the sign of the cross on the forehead of the sick person with either a finger or a piece of cotton wool dipped in oil) may accompany the prayers, and the person may receive the laying on of hands (hand/s placed on the head or shoulder as the prayers are said.)

Over the years we have seen God’s answers to prayers for healing, sometimes immediately, sometimes over a period of time.

We have special healing services throughout the year, and you may ask for prayer at any of our usual Sunday services.
